Assistant Director

Amy Clare Tasker is a director, playwright, jewelry designer, co-founder of Inkblot Ensemble, and associate artist with Cutting Ball Theater, Atmos Theatre, and EXIT Theatre. For Cutting Ball, she has directed for The Hidden Classics Reading Series, and assistant-directed Bone to Pick & Diadem (dir. Rob Melrose), Thom Pain (based on nothing) (dir. Marissa Wolf).  Amy has developed and directed All’s Fair and Satellites, new plays inspired by ancient mythology with Inkblot Ensemble.  Other Bay Area credits include Alice in Wonderland with Atmos Theatre; Antigone with SF Theater Pub, and Nothing Works at the Bay One Acts Festival IX. Her new play Phoebe & Theia, or How to Get to Tartarus will premiere at the SF Olympians Festival 2012. She is currently collaborating with playwright Megan Cohen to create a transmedia online and live theater piece revisioning Helen of Troy. Amy is an alumna of UC Irvine, University of Manchester, and Directors Lab West.
