Michael Locher is a longtime Cutting Ball artistic associate and has collaborated with director Rob Melrose on numerous productions. Previous designs for Cutting Ball include Pelleas & Melissande, The Tempest, The Bald Soprano, …and Jesus Moonwalks the Mississippi, Victims of Duty, Diadem/Bone to Pick, Macbeth, and The Vomit Talk of Ghosts. Elsewhere, recent and upcoming credits include Happy Days with Guthrie and Playmakers Rep, Troilus & Cressida with Oregon Shakespeare Festival, Spunk with Cal Shakes, Jesus in India, Or, Any Given Day, Goldfish with the Magic Theater, Trouble in Mind with Yale Rep, The Taming of the Shrew with Great Lakes Theater Festival, Idaho Shakes, Seven Guitars, The Piano Lesson, Ain’t Misbehavin’ with the Lorraine Hansberry Theater, Richard III, Venus with Yale School of Drama, La Finta Pazza Yale Baroque Opera, The Train Play with Crowded Fire, and The Creature with Black Box.
